Hello hello, first of all a quick thank you to all those that voted for my vega poster, i was doing pretty darn well till my image inexplicably disappeared of the site, taking me out of the competition. I reckon it was sabotage, but i probably deleted the file off my stone-age computer or something. Anyway thanks again and i'm sure i'll enter another soon that requires your votes, so watch this space.

Also, i want to do some superhero orientated work to expand my portfolio and hopefully get more work in that area, and rather than decide myself, I would like your thoughts, opinions and threats on the matter pleeeease, I will choose the best three. This gives you the chance to alter my future DO IT!

Anything you want seeing? and characters you want? tell tell me, i just end up drawing robots if left to my own devices.

Hey dark mechanic how far are you into your degree? Superhero work is great, but i would think more of how you are going to apply it to.i.e what type of job opportunities would you want your work to be selected for? Comics? Illustration? Anyway love your stuff at the moment,can't wait to see more of it!

Hmm, don't know much about what you're aiming for, but if you do a superhero piece or two for your portfolio, I would keep (the character) familiar and recognisable but also completely your own. A pretty hard mix, but it's possible. Are you looking to do existing characters or original ones? Good luck man

Oh, my degree is done and dusted, i just need more character work really as currently i'm just storyboarding. and its really boring. rhymes as well. I currently have spaceships and robots galore, so i just need people really.

Any ideas or character/scenario suggestions then fire away!

I'd try Batman or Spawn, but I say that because they're my favourites. Gambit could be cool. Judge Dredd, ABC Warriors, Tank Girl... all could be coolness.

ahhh i like gambit and judge dredd, i also completely forgot about SPAWN! its to tempting to copy ashley woods version though...

I say dig up some really obscure characters that never took off (unless someone has done this within the past 10 years that I have not been into reading comics on a regular basis). Maybe DC's Rag Man, Marvel's Machine Man, or OMAC from DC as well. Take something that was essentially dumb and make it cool. Rom The SpaceKnight for example. But definitely do a popular character or two as well. Spawn would be cool. Batman, Hellboy, Nexus, etc.....

how about a cyborg minotaur. i dont know of any existing characters that are cyborg minotaurs.. ah but it has the robot part which im guessing you want to stay away from. so swap cyborg to mutant. yeah draw some horrible mutant spawn-esque monster thingys. well thats my unhelpful two cents!
